About Me

My Heart is in New Orleans

I was born and raised in New Orleans, which helps explain why I am a little wild and crazy to this day. After a career as a forest pathologist for the USDA Forest Service, I have returned to my first love: art. I have been a quilter for 15 years and am now uniting quilting skills with a love of painting to promote awe and wonder at the beauty of the natural world.

Multimedia Attraction

I strive to share insights about light, shape, color and texture through works that capture my experiences in natural settings. An avid photographer, I often use multiple photographs to create unique compositions that capture essence of place, interesting botanical structures, and the play of light on surfaces. I use commercial and hand-dyed fabrics as well as original paintings on cotton and silk.
